(Keto) Chow Mein

Ingredients:

1/2 green cabbage

140g butter

500g minced beef

1 tsp salt

1 tsp onion powder

Pepper to taste

1 tbsp white wine vinegar

1 tsp minced garlic (or fresh)

1 brown onion diced

1 tsp chilli flakes

1 tsp minced ginger (or fresh) 

1 tbsp sesame oil


Method:

Finely dice the cabbage and brown onion.  Fry in approx. half the butter until wilted but not brown

Add salt, onion powder, pepper and vinegar, stir for a couple of minutes then place in bowl

Melt the rest of the butter, add garlic, chilli and ginger and saute for a minute or two.

Add meat and brown, then add cabbage mixture.  Top with the sesame oil before serving.


Note:

This is paired nicely with a Wasabi Mayonnaise.  (1 cup of mayonnaise with 1 tbsp of wasabi paste / or to taste)
