GF Meatballs in Tomato Sauce (Thermomix)
Ingredients
Meatballs:
500g beef mince
1 egg
1 TBSP tamari sauce
1/2 TSP dried basil
1/2 TSP dried oregano
Sauce:
400g tin of tomatoes
100g water
Jar of passata (150g)
15g tomato paste
1/2 TSP basil
1/2 TSP oregano
1/2 TSP dried onion
1/2 TSP dried garlic
Method
Ensure you've grated parmesan cheese, ready for serving
Pop all the ingredients for the meatballs into the thermomix and blend 30 seconds / speed 6
Roll mixture into 12 -14 balls and place in simmering basket
Next place all the ingredients for the sauce into the thermomix, place the simmering basket in the bowl also
Cook for 15 minutes / varoma / speed 3 / MC off
Pop the varoma basket on top to avoid splattering
Cook pasta of choice on the stove top separately and serve
# If you don't have a thermomix you can mix meatballs by hand and good in a casserole dish on the stove top, adding the sauce mixture to simmer
